PSiRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) is a statutory body established to regulate the private security industry in South Africa in the public interest.

To register as a security service provider, you must apply to PSiRA with the required documentation including your company registration documents, proof of address, and completed application forms. Visit our Online Services Portal or contact our nearest regional office.

PSiRA grades security businesses based on their compliance with the Private Security Industry Regulation Act and related regulations. Contact our Compliance Division for grading requirements.

Registrations can be renewed online through the PSiRA Online Services Portal or at any of our regional offices. Ensure you submit renewal applications before your current registration expires.

Required documents include: completed application form, company registration (CIPC), tax compliance certificate, proof of address, ID copies of all directors, and proof of payment of prescribed fees.

You can verify a security officer's registration through the PSiRA website verification portal or by contacting our head office with the officer's ID number and registration number.
